BioSaeliel is the daughter of a Noldorin loremaster and a Telerin songstress. Her father went to Alqualonde for sightseeing, met her mother singing on the beaches, fell in love, got married, and was rather lost to Tirion for a couple of decades. When the little bundle of joy was born, her father thought she was a born philosopher, hence the name Saeliel, “wisdom”. Her mother, on the other hand, contributed Aearinn. She normally goes by Saeliel.
When the two trees were slain, her father thought that duty called and traveled back to Tirion, leaving his wife and child in Alqualonde. Saeliel never saw him again. He was of the people of Feanor, and through all the arguments, strife, and finally departure of the Noldor he send word not to his family. Perhaps to protect them. Or perhaps his wife was very clear about what was going on in Tirion, only she never told her daughter. The young elf was happily distracted reading huge amounts of parchments.
Saeliel saw her mother die in the First Kinslaying. She herself was wounded, though not fatally, and was very angry at her father for abandoning them, and slaying her kin. She found her way to Fingolfin’s People and joined them across the ice, partly to search for her father and partly because she was moved by dreams of a faraway place. She didn’t found him. They told her that he too, had perished in the Kinslaying of Alqualonde. As she now has nothing to do, and nowhere to go, she chose to follow Turgon, and thus ended up in Gondolin.

Because of the education she got from both sides of her family, as well as the blood, she excels both in handicrafts and music, as well as lore. She used to makes her living by making musical instruments, but then took on experimenting with pigments. Now she is also a supplier of varnishes and paints, as well as inks.
Saeliel has typical Noldorin dark hair and Telerin blue-grey eyes. She is slender, but taller than most Telerin women.. She currently serves under the House of the Fountain, which lord had been known by her mother as a child. She has a general distaste for bloodshed, especially after the Fifth Battle. More than general, actually, considering her past. She also tends to be overly emotional and extremely moody, and prefers to pass her time alone. Naturally, she doesn’t have many friends. For one as old as she is, she has been single all her life, and strangely, proud of it. Her non-stop longing for the ocean gave her queer habits, for example soaking for hours in a bath, and washing her hands as frequently as eleven times an hour when unnecessary.
